Common questions
How do I set up the planter for the first time?
Fill the water tank and add the provided fertilizer. Place soil in the cavity, plant your seed or sapling, and connect the planter to the mobile app. Follow the app's guided steps to customise your watering and fertilization schedule.
Is it compatible with both iOS and Android?
Yes. The RootRains app is available for both iOS and Android. Schedule watering, monitor plant health and control the planter remotely from your smartphone or tablet.
How do I clean the planter?
Turn it off and unplug it. Empty the water and fertilizer tanks, then gently remove the plant and soil. Wash the tank and soil cavity with mild soap and lukewarm water, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth, and let everything air-dry before reassembling.
What is included in the purchase?
The Smart Planter unit, premium soil, specially formulated fertilizer, a power adapter, a quick-start guide, and access to the companion app.
How does the app work with the planter?
The app connects to your planter over Wi-Fi. You can schedule automated watering and fertilization, adjust settings by plant type, and receive real-time notifications about water and nutrient levels, wherever you are.
How often do I need to refill the tanks?
It depends on plant type, size and the schedule you set. On average the tanks last several weeks. The app notifies you when levels run low.
Can it be used indoors and outdoors?
Yes. The durable, weather-resistant build suits balconies and patios, and the sleek design fits any indoor space. Place it where it can reach your Wi-Fi.
Can it help revive dying plants?
Consistent watering and feeding help struggling plants recover. It cannot bring back a plant that is already beyond saving, but precise care gives plants the best chance to regain strength.
